What can I expect?

• medium swedish | a light to medium pressure, relaxing flow that focuses mainly on allowing the client to drift into a dream like state (no major detail work).
• sport massage | a smooth relaxing flow that focuses on therapeutic effects of massage. Incorporates a relative medium to firm/deep pressure, stretching, mobilization techniques and detail work (still may be relaxing).
• hot stone massage | uniquely relaxing & extremely beneficial in expediting stress reduction and muscle stimulation to promote healing after injury or overuse.
• Thai massage | client wears loose comfortable clothing. While lying on a floor mat the therapist takes them through a series of relaxing, passive stretches allowing for a whole body balancing.
• Detox Massage | therapist uses a combination of all natural herbal and botanical products on the skin that tones and hydrates while stimulating the lymphatic system allowing the body to detoxify at a light or deeply accelerated pace.
• AromaTouch | a clinical approach to applying dōTERRAʼs Certified Pure Therapeutic GradeTM essential oils along visceral contact and meridian points of the back and feet to help balance sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems of the body. Improves wellbeing by reducing physical and emotional stressors and by supporting healthy autonomic function.
  

What's expected of me?

• Please be present 10-15 min. prior to appointment time to allow for therapist set up & interview time.
• Cancellations | We ask clients to guarantee all reservations with a credit card. This card will not be charged unless you miss your reservation without giving us adequate notice. We require 24 hours notice to cancel without a fee. Any cancellation within 24 hrs will be charged a $50 cancellation fee.

Who is Amy?

Born in the beautiful valley of Mount Pleasant Utah and raised among the serene plains of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada, Amy C. Nelson considers that her passion for health, wellness and the triune of body, mind and spirit was sparked at the tender age of 5. Her father was diagnosed with an auto-immune disease. She watched her father’s method of using calculated nutrition and positive mind focus to shift the disease into remission, which has remained there for 30 years through continued vigilance.

Her own natural sense of body wisdom began presenting itself at a young age when a friend training in gymnastics complained of back pain. Amy experienced a primal desire to assist in bringing balance back to a friends physical wellness. The innate techniques she used to assist her friend, she has since found to be considered Myofascial Release Techniques.

The education she has received spans both structural/therapeutic and energy techniques. Before graduating from Myotherapy College of Utah in 2003, Amy also began studying Peruvian Energy Medicine of the ancient Q’ero Indians with The Four Winds Society, in Park City, Utah. The energetic tracking she got in touch with through her training there often contributes to her ability to facilitate a clients release and relaxation. Her foundation of understanding both the physical mechanics and spiritual connection used in everyday life, work and recreation also come from her cumulative years of being in and around the outdoor recreation industry and her Aikido martial arts training prior/post to her massage therapy career.

In the 7 years of her career so far, Amy’s work has taken her to a handful of the Earth’s Healing epicenter’s across the globe. While Park City is her main stay she has also enjoyed working in Moab, UT, Mount Shasta, CA, Calistoga, CA, Santa Fe, NM, Lake Jindabyne and Byron Bay, Australia.

Wherever in the world she might be, Amy’s mission is 'to offer a receptive, responsive conduit along with a therapeutic & transformative space for those seeking to heal themselves.' With joy in her mind and a fierceness in her heart Amy looks
